Back to the drawing board!

Haven't heard back from many people regarding the digital preview story, but the consensus seems to be (based on the three or four people I have spoken with) that I need to go back to the drawing board. The art looks a little too 1980s gritty and lo-fidelity, if that makes sense.

I'll be back with more art, as well as another short digital story to see if changing the style helps any. Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment!

  1. Don't worry I'll get back to you when I have time to read it. My desk is piled with assignments at the moment.

  2. No prob, comment when you can. Working on another preview story to give it another shot.

  3. I agree with the grittiness. If you could make it a little more childish and funny that could also work. Perhaps eliminate the swearing with just saying random things like he did at the start of the story (or like Sam the dog from Sam and Max).
I would also like to see Master Ninja's character evolve more, I'm a bit unsure of who he is whether he is just a bumbling sidekick or just not understood.

I look forward to seeing the next issue!

  4. Hey, thanks for the review and the critique!

It's funny you mention making it more childish - a couple people said it was TOO childish and didn't go far enough in the gritty direction.

I'm about 75% done with the first print issue. We'll see how that goes. I won't lie: I'm nervous!
